About Us

PULSE FITNE55

My name is Peter, and I am the creator of Pulse Fitne55. I am 47 and a father of two boys: a 25-year-old and my 13-year-old, who currently lives with me. I grew up in Kansas during my younger years, and at 11 years old, we moved to Portland, Oregon. I have been in Oregon since that day. I attended Holy Trinity grade school in Beaverton, Oregon, and then attended Jesuit High School. After 2.5 years at the University of Oregon—where I became a founding father of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity—and an attempt at classes there, I dropped out. I had no sense of direction and did not like the classes. Without a clear career path, it was difficult to get motivated to go to class or find any enjoyment in it.

I had always found myself doing outdoor physical jobs and had discovered a passion for landscaping. I had spent a few summers working for my friend's brother, who owned a landscape construction company, so when I dropped out of college, I went to work for him. I genuinely loved this job and worked there for 10 years. At some point, I felt like I could never make as much money as I wanted to make by working for someone else in landscaping. This is when I took my landscape contractor test in 2016.

I passed my contractor test and started a construction company with my father, who helped with the accounting and finances. My father was an architect and real estate developer. Naturally, construction had been in my life from a young age, and I had worked with my dad on and off over the years, so it was easy to transition to the construction industry. We both benefited from forming the company because I needed financial assistance in acquiring the equipment and tools to start, and my father benefited because he saved on contractor costs by having our company perform work on his projects. He also was able to manage his own projects instead of having to hire a general contractor. I continued doing this until 2023.

Unfortunately, there were some business issues and family problems that ultimately caused the company to stop. Things went drastically south after 2023. My son and I lost our house, lost our vehicle, and ended up losing everything we had built up to that point. I unexpectedly spent a week in the hospital with congestive heart failure and have not fully recovered since. We have been struggling to survive. Even after landing a great job last year, and things were on the right path, it suddenly ended in December 2025. The company I worked for had promised 40 hours a week of work and a stable income. That was until December, when they led us on each day, having us call in to see if we were working because the weather wasn't great. This went on for three months, and it never recovered. I was in survival mode every day because suddenly I had no income. I thought it was a good job and that this would pass over, but it didn't. I was in the hospital twice in January of this year with a blood pressure of 204/139. Stress was going to kill me.

After the heart failure three years ago, I realized that I had to make changes in my life and get healthier. I knew I had to start working out, but I struggled so hard to start the journey. I had no energy, and my heart was working at 25%, so I struggled just to do regular activities. I spent a couple of months trying to convince myself to start doing something but couldn't. One day, I decided to buy a stationary bike. It sat in my room for weeks until the day I was able to convince myself to start with just 5 minutes a day. I promised myself this and started. It was exhausting to get through those 5 minutes, but after a few weeks, it became a little easier and I was able to add a few minutes. Then I was able to progress to 5 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I built from there, and three years later, I go to the gym 5 to 6 days a week. I do 30 minutes of cardio and lift weights for an hour. I went from struggling to walk up the stairs without being exhausted to being able to jog 3 miles.

I learned from the start that working out is great for the body and for being healthier, but the biggest thing it helped with was my mental state. I built confidence, felt better, had more energy, and learned to manage stress. This is what got me through the last three years, all the stress, the negative circumstances, and losing everything. I have stayed consistent, and through the darkest times, the gym and exercise saved my life.

A few months ago, I was struggling to find a new job, lacked a vehicle, and was struggling to have an income. I decided that I would try to do something on the side to make passive income while I was looking for work. I started many attempts at different things I had seen online, including day trading, a few dropshipping stores, and writing a book. Nothing seemed to catch on, so I became frustrated. I learned a lot but needed something that would actually work.

This is when I decided to make a real attempt at writing a book and starting an e-commerce site. I put in all the time I could, ended up writing a book about my life and finding purpose, and self-published it. It is available on Amazon Kindle. I have only had one sale, but I think it is mainly due to my lack of social media presence to promote it, and I haven't tried to get it out there more. I was just glad to see the project through and know I could do it. The few people who have read it gave me positive feedback.

This was also the time I started to create a business based on the idea that I wanted to help people who may be having health issues or struggling to start a workout journey toward a healthier life. I wanted to share with others that while it may seem overwhelming to start, make changes in your life, or find motivation, if you break it down to just 5 minutes a day and stay consistent and dedicated, it can be life-changing. This is when I created Pulse Fitne55. I started the site to help people get healthier. It then developed into a print-on-demand store providing fitness performance clothing branded with the company logo I created.

That brings us to today. I am trying my best to build this into a successful business. I knew nothing about this eight months ago and taught myself everything. I had no social media a year ago, so I am promoting the business basically from ground zero. I feel like I am close to making this work, but I find myself still missing some things. I have had 5,000 visitors over the last couple of weeks and no sales. Today, I continue my journey to make this successful. I appreciate any and all support I get, and if you made it this far, then that's a step closer for me. Again, the support is greatly appreciated. I will continue with this and see where it goes...
